Traditional business directory listings go by the wayside

by Bill Kimmons

As any business owner knows, just running a small, simple ad in the local Yellow Pages can cost hundreds of dollars per month in the average city. This cost adds up to thousands of dollars per year, and simply isn't affordable by many smaller businesses. But let's face the facts here: while the Yellow Pages might help you get local business, they just aren't going to get you the kind of national or worldwide exposure you need, especially if you're running a business online. So, you can get yourself listed in any number of online directories. But even your current online directories, though they may offer potential for worldwide advertising, are static, out-of-date, and difficult to have modified when something changes. And besides that, they can be very costly.

Recently, a new kind of online company directory has emerged. One that is practically unlimited and very dynamic. This newer, better breed of directory allows you to have complete control of all your data at all times, including content and publishing schedule of your directory. This means that you have unlimited personal access to make changes or updates to your directory, without hassle or additional charges.

Your directory will consist of an initial full screen page of basic company data, similar to your current Yellow Page directory, plus two additional full-screen pages of advertised specials for your products and services. You can use these pages to let customers know about promotions, tell them more about your company, and entice them into your store or onto your website. And, you'll save hundreds every month over a Yellow Pages ad.

These directories are surprisingly affordable at $300 per year which is being discounted to $150 for the first year. The key to making such directories work at these rates is in state-of the-art database access software and very large, searchable databases. Also you can use the included HTML software for creating or updating your listing, or you may have a third party design your listing for you if you wish. You don't even have to eliminate your other directory listings just reduce them to point your customers to our much improved and user friendly directory.
